We offer classes for uilleann pipes and classes for fiddle.

Pipers: We will assign you to a class based on your skill level. We cannot accommodate requests for a specific instructor, but please note that you will have a different instructor for each class (one on Saturday morning and one on Saturday afternoon).

Fiddlers: You will have one instructor in the morning and another instructor in the afternoon.

For pipers: Absolutely! We welcome folks from all levels, including beginners. We have a slow session on Friday nights, and it's usually a gentle way to get to know each other and start the weekend.

For fiddlers: Classes are for intermediate and advanced fiddle players only.

Classes are organized by skill level; typically instructors will teach a tune, providing guidance on technique within the context of the tune. All classes are held on Saturday: one class in the morning and another in the afternoon. You will have a different instructor for each class.

Workshops are topic-based. All workshops take place on Sunday afternoon. You will choose your workshop when you register; see the Workshops page for details on this year's workshops.

The reedmaking workshop runs all weekend (Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning, and Sunday afternoon), but it ends just in time for you to take one of the Sunday afternoon workshops.

Instructor concerts are held on Friday and Saturday nights. The Sunday night concert is the Piper's Chair, an open mic (there will be a sign-up sheet in the pub) for anyone who wants to perform one tune or song.

The Northeast Tionól is held at Gavin's Irish Country Inn, and they maintain a Directions page that you should find helpful.

• If you cancel before online registration closes (September 20), we'll give you a full refund.
• If you cancel between September 21 and the day before the tionól begins, we'll give you a 50% refund.
• If you cancel on the first day of the tionól or later, no refunds are available.

Note that we can be flexible in special circumstances, which we'll consider on a case-by-case basis.
